Outlook Express Setup for datanet
This is the setup will guide you through the steps necessary
to set up Outlook Express through your DataNet email account with dialup
connection. Please
note that all text entered should be in lower case - including your email
address, password, and mail servers.
- Start up Outlook Express.
Note: If you get any "Connection Setup Wizards" click
cancel until they close.
- Click Tools, then click Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab. Click Add, then click Mail.
- Fill out the Display Name with your name. Click Next.
- Fill out the E-mail address as: user@datanet.ab.ca
and click Next.
Your incoming mail server is a POP3 Server (this should be
the default setting). Fill out the Incoming Server as
mail.datanet.ab.ca. Fill out the
Outgoing Mail
server as mail.datanet.ab.ca.
Click Next.
- Fill out the Account name as user . Fill out the Password
with your password. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click Properties. Click the Server tab at the
top of the properties box. Place a tick in the box "My server
requires authentication."
- Click the Connection tab at the top of the properties
box. Click Always connect to the this account using and
select Datanet from the list.
- Click OK. Click Close.
- Close Outlook.
Outlook Express Setup for datacorp
This is the setup will guide you through the steps
necessary to set up Outlook Express through your DataCorp email account.
Please note that all text entered should be in lower case - including your
email address, password, and mail servers.
- Start up Outlook Express.
Note: If you get any "Connection Setup Wizards" click

- Click Tools, then click Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab. Click Add, then click Mail.
- Fill out the Display Name with your name. Click Next.
- Fill out the E-mail address as: user@datacorp.ca
and click Next.
Your incoming mail server is a POP3 Server (this should be the
default setting). Fill out the Incoming Server as pop.datacorp.ca
. Fill out the Outgoing Mail server as mail.datacorp.ca
. Click Next.
- Fill out the Account name as . user@datacorp.ca
. Fill out the Password with your password.
Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click Properties. Click the Server tab at the
top of the properties box. Uncheck "My
server requires authentication."
- Click the Connection tab at the top of the properties
box. Click Always connect to the this account using and
select Local network from the list.
- Click OK. Click Close.
- Close Outlook.
Outlook Express Setup for datanet
on ADSL
This is the setup will guide you through the steps necessary
to set up Outlook Express through your DataNet email account with ADSL
high speed connection. Please
note that all text entered should be in lower case - including your email
address, password, and mail servers.
- Start up Outlook Express.
Note: If you get any "Connection Setup Wizards" click
cancel until they close.
- Click Tools, then click Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab. Click Add, then click Mail.
- Fill out the Display Name with your name. Click Next.
- Fill out the E-mail address as: user@datanet.ab.ca
and click Next.

mail.datanet.ab.ca. Fill out the
